Bailey Buckner, PMHNP
"I chose psychiatry because I am passionate about helping others and I’ve witnessed, both personally and professionally, how life-changing psychiatric care can be."
Bailey is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at NBH. She completed her
undergraduate education at Western Kentucky University where she earned a Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN), Bachelor of Arts in Spanish (with a concentration in health sciences
and health care), and a minor in Psychology. She also became licensed as an RN in the state of
Kentucky. Following her undergraduate education, she attended Vanderbilt University where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and was then certified and licensed as a PMHNP soon after. Bailey has completed over 500 clinical hours in the inpatient psychiatric setting which allowed her to help a diverse patient population with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. In her free time, Bailey enjoys spending time with her family, friends, reading and playing with her dogs, Cash and Clem.
